Record EuroMillions Jackpot Won, Next Superdraw Lined Up

The EuroMillions draw on Tuesday, 19th August may have seen another record jackpot go elsewhere in Europe, but there will soon be another chance to grab a nine-figure prize after the date of the next Superdraw was announced.
It has been an unprecedented year for big jackpots, with the top prize reaching its €250 million (approximately £215 million) cap three times already. On Tuesday, it was a French player’s turn to land the maximum amount by matching all the numbers, although there were still more than 865,000 winning tickets in the UK - sharing a combined £3.6 million.
When is the Next Superdraw?
Now that the jackpot has reset to its starting value, it would be understandable for the excitement level to drop down a notch or two. But the organisers of EuroMillions love nothing more than a huge jackpot, so another Superdraw has been lined up.
It will take place on Friday, 26th September and offer the chance to win €130 million (around £110 million). It doesn’t matter if the jackpot gets won in the preceding draw, or if it’s much lower than the advertised amount, it will be bumped up to a guaranteed €130 million.
If there are no tickets on the night that match all the numbers, the jackpot will be carried forward to the following draw as usual. It could even roll all the way to its limit.
There has been a Superdraw every September since 2020, and there’s been UK success too. Back in 2022, the jackpot rolled from a Superdraw on 9th September until someone from the UK pocketed £171 million two weeks later.
There’s only been one bigger National Lottery win since September 2022, and the largest EuroMillions prizes this year have gone to Austria, Ireland and, most recently, France. Could this be the time for the UK to create its next record win?
