A EuroMillions jackpot of £121.3 million has been won by a single player from the UK. The lucky winner matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars on Tuesday 24th April to become the country’s third-largest lottery winner.
Winning EuroMillions Numbers
The EuroMillions numbers drawn were 20, 23, 28, 30 and 44, with Lucky Stars 3 and 7. On a special night for participants all over Europe, more than 2.4 million prizes were given away, including 580,370 in the UK.
Apart from the jackpot winner, prizes spanned from £2.70 for matching two main numbers to £199,921 for matching five main numbers plus one Lucky Star. Two ticket holders also picked up £1 million each after matching the winning Millionaire Maker codes. Visit the EuroMillions Results page to find out the winning codes and see a full breakdown of the prizes won.
UK Jackpot Winner
The colossal jackpot had largely been produced by last Friday’s EuroMillions Superdraw, when the top prize was increased to £114 million for the first big event of its kind this year. A rollover pushed the jackpot past the £120 million mark, and one fortunate player has now been able to celebrate the biggest payday of their life.
The winner has 180 days to come forward and claim their prize, and National Lottery officials are already looking forward to greeting them. Andy Carter, the senior winners’ advisor, said: “Wow - what a night for UK EuroMillions players. Players are urged to check their tickets and, rest assured, we have plenty of champagne on ice ready to help The National Lottery's newest multimillionaire celebrate."
When the winner makes their claim, they can decide whether to stay anonymous or go public, just like the only UK two ticket holders to have ever landed bigger EuroMillions prizes.
The Weirs and the Bayfords
Scottish couple Colin and Christine Weir, from Largs in Ayrshire, remain the record holders after winning a EuroMillions jackpot worth £161.6 million on 12th July 2011. Adrian and Gillian Bayford snagged a prize of £148.6 million in August 2012, becoming the UK’s second-largest winners.
Next Jackpot
The EuroMillions jackpot will now revert to an estimated £14 million for the next draw on Friday night. There have already been three winners of the top prize this month, so if you think the lucky run will continue you can join an online syndicate to boost your chances. Best of luck!
