National Lottery officials are urging EuroMillions players in Dundee and the London Borough of Harrow to check their tickets as the hunt for two lucky UK Millionaire Maker prize winners continues. Both prizes were won during March’s Mega Week event and consist of £1 million and an ultimate luxury safari adventure.
The first reward-winning ticket was purchased in the city of Dundee ahead of the EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 28th March and correctly matched the winning UK Millionaire Maker code XRTV 79106. Andy Carter, The National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor, was on hand to remind players about the substantial sum of money: “We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old EuroMillions tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding, so that this prize can turn someone into the newest member of the lottery millionaire club,” he said.
Carter also dished out some handy tips on where to begin looking for the missing entry: “Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa.” The lucky winner, whose good fortune could be about to run out very soon, has until Sunday 24th September to claim their prize.
The second winning ticket in need of locating was bought in the London Borough of Harrow ahead of the draw on Friday 31st March and matched the code VRVP 23883. Andy Carter was once again on hand to spread the word: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life,” he said.
After offering some suggestions on where to begin the search, Carter confirmed that National Lottery officials were looking forward to meeting the mystery millionaire, should they come forward before the deadline on Wednesday 27th September: "We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win."
Should these prizes go unclaimed, the money will be handed over to the National Lottery’s Good Causes Fund and used to help projects in health, education, sports and the arts.
