Single Ticket Wins Last Jackpot Before Lotto Changes
Last Updated: Wednesday 7th October 2015, 22:35
A single ticket holder is now £3.3 million richer after scooping the last Lotto jackpot before changes are made to the game. A further eight players matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to bank £12,956, and 50 players became the last ever Lotto Raffle winners, each picking up £20,000. Lotto Millionaire Raffle will replace the supplementary game on Saturday.
The winning Lotto line was 5, 7, 11, 30, 44 and 49 with Bonus Ball 25 and other prizes pocketed on the night ranged from £25 for matching three main numbers, up to £372 for matching five main balls. Check out the Lottery Results page for a full prize breakdown and a list of the winning Lotto Raffle codes.
From now on, every Lotto draw will contain 59 numbers, up from the previous ball pool of 49. There will be a new prize tier, with players receiving a Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main balls and there will no longer be a limit of four rollovers. Jackpots will now be allowed to roll to huge amounts, up to a cap of £50 million.
Lotto Millionaire Raffle will offer 20 awards of £20,000 and one mighty prize of £1 million in every draw. The first draw on Saturday will see 25 players receive the seven-figure sum to celebrate the launch.
Lotto tickets for Saturday’s draw are on sale from Thursday morning so you can throw your hat in the ring for the £4.5 million jackpot or one of the 25 £1 million prizes. Get hold of your entries online or from authorised retailers across the country.
