Last Updated: Wednesday 23rd September 2020, 14:05
A single Lotto ticket holder matched all six main numbers on Wednesday 19th October to scoop the £26.1 million jackpot and become the sixth player this year to win more than £20 million on the game. Lotto fans across the country are being urged to check their tickets carefully this morning, with one lucky participant poised to receive an extraordinary surprise when they realise they are a multimillionaire with a fortune larger than singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who is said to be worth £20 million.
The winning Lotto numbers on Wednesday 19th October were 2, 3, 4, 32, 54 and 59 with Bonus Ball 12 and other prizes snapped up ranged from a free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £67,814 for the single player who matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. Another player pocketed £1 million courtesy of Lotto Millionaire Raffle, with 20 ticket holders receiving raffle awards of £20,000. You can find the full prize breakdown and a list of all the winning Lotto Millionaire Raffle codes at the Lottery Results page.
The winner has 180 days to claim their prize and will receive expert advice from the National Lottery on how to handle their newfound status, whether they go public or stay anonymous. They follow in the footsteps of a number of big Lotto winners in 2016, including David and Carol Martin of Hawick in the Scottish Borders, who shared a record £66 million with a private player from Worcester on Saturday 9th January. Lotto’s largest ever win on a single ticket came on Wednesday 6th April this year, when an anonymous participant claimed £35.1 million.
For your chance to taste the millionaire lifestyle, EuroMillions is offering £35 million on Friday night and there is a £3.7 million Lotto jackpot on offer on Saturday. You can play online or by visiting an authorised retailer anywhere in the UK. Good luck.
