Romford has been named the luckiest place to live in the Britain after a survey out this week revealed that the town has more lottery winners, winning £50,000 or above, than anywhere else in Britain and making the postcode ‘RM’ the luckiest in the UK.
Romford has generated 40 millionaires since the Lotto first launched in 1994 making it the town with the most winners per head of population. After Romford, the next two luckiest places are the North-East cities of Sunderland and Newcastle.
The luck spreads far and wide across the UK as next on the list are Liverpool, Enfield, Warrington, Bromley, Wolverhampton, Dartford and Dundee. The survey has been taken from lottery winners over the past three years and includes both winning tickets purchased online and those bought offline.
Tomorrow there is a Lotto rollover jackpot estimated at £6.1 million and this could be yours for the small price of a Lotto ticket. Who knows, you could wake up on Sunday morning a millionaire and have your postcode added to the growing list of lucky locations!
