New EuroMillions Record Beckons After Jackpot Crosses £200 Million

Last Updated: Thursday 27th March 2025, 10:06

EuroMillions could be about to create the UK’s biggest lottery win of all time after the jackpot surged past the £200 million mark.

Nobody won the £183 million draw on Tuesday night, so an estimated £202 million will now be available for anyone who matches all the numbers in Friday’s draw.

It could be a bit higher if there are even more ticket sales than expected, while the exact value will also be based on the exchange rate on the day when it is converted from euros.

What is certain, though, is that a single UK winner would set a new national record, eclipsing the £195 million jackpot that went to an anonymous player in July 2022.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor for Allwyn, said:”If one ticket holder takes home the prize, they would be crowned the National Lottery's biggest winner of all time. This colossal amount of money would make any lucky ticket holder richer than some of the UK's biggest and richest names, such as Harry Styles, Adele and Harry Kane.”

Two Wins in 2025 Already

There have already been two UK jackpot winners this year. One player landed £83 million on 24th January, and another pocketed £65 million on 14th February.

Recent winners have made a habit of coming forward quickly to claim their prizes, and it is always best to check tickets as soon as you remember to discover how lucky you have been.

The claim period is 180 days from the date of a draw, so there is time to let the news of a big win sink in and get advice, but make sure to keep your tickets safe until you contact the National Lottery.

If no tickets match all the numbers on Friday night, the jackpot will grow to an even larger amount for Tuesday’s draw but it will also hit its limit for how high it can go.

EuroMillions rules only allow for the jackpot to reach €250 million (the estimated £202 million for Friday night is worth €243 million). It is then only a matter of time before the jackpot will be paid out, as a special Must Be Won draw will be held if it stays at its cap for four draws. See the Jackpot Cap page for more information.

There can never have been a better time to play EuroMillions in the 21-year history of the game, so get involved now by picking up a ticket from a local retailer or choosing your numbers online. It could just be that someone is about to land the UK’s record prize.
