New EuroMillions HotPicks Game Offers £1 Million Jackpot for £1.50 Per Line

Tickets for EuroMillions HotPicks went on sale today, with players dreaming of winning prizes worth up to £1 million for just £1.50 per line. The new lottery uses the main EuroMillions numbers to determine its winners, and ticket holders can choose how many numbers they want to play.
How to Play EuroMillions HotPicks
EuroMillions HotPicks players have a choice of five games; Pick 1, Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5. These correspond to the number of balls you predict, matching all of them with the main numbers from the EuroMillions draw to win a prize.
For example, with Pick 1, you choose one number and you win £10 if it comes up in the winning EuroMillions line. If you play Pick 3, you select three numbers for the chance to win £1,500, but you must match all three. There are no prizes if you play Pick 3 and only match two numbers. Chances of Becoming a Millionaire
Not only are EuroMillions HotPicks lines £1 cheaper than those in the main EuroMillions draw, but your chances of becoming a millionaire are similar, if not better. To be sure to win £1 million or more in EuroMillions, you have to hit the jackpot at odds of 1 in 139.8 million, whereas Pick 5 comes with odds of 1 in 2.1 million. Of course, the EuroMillions prize starts at around £15 million, so it will be much greater than the £1 million HotPicks award, even if you share it with other winners.
Millionaire Maker creates two guaranteed £1 million UK winners in each draw and the odds of winning are dependent on how many other ticket holders play. The chances of winning one of those prizes in a Tuesday draw when the main jackpot is at its minimum level, meaning fewer people play, are estimated at around 1 in 1.9 million.
However, as the jackpot increases and more lines are sold, the odds become much longer. On a Friday after four rollovers, you have an expected 1 in 3.4 million shot at a Millionaire Maker prize. Friday’s jackpot of £80 million follows seven draws without a win, and so it is likely that you have a better chance of adding six zeroes to your bank account through HotPicks than through Millionaire Maker.
Should I Play HotPicks or EuroMillions?
The game you choose to play is entirely down to your personal preference. EuroMillions offers the chance to win awards for matching all or some of your numbers, including a shot at a massive £80 million. HotPicks provides bigger prizes (up to £1 million) for matching fewer numbers, but if you fail to match all the balls you predicted, you don’t win anything.
