Millionaire Raffle winner comes forward
Last Updated: Thursday 7th July 2011, 15:50
A few days ago we brought you news of the first unclaimed Millionaire Raffle prize since the start of the draw alongside the Euromillions draw late last year. Today we have heard that the Millionaire Raffle winner has come forward to claim the £1 million prize which is great news, especially for the winner!
Whether the £1 million winner read our news piece about the unclaimed prize, heeded the Camelot’s request to come forward or whether they knew all along about their prize isn’t clear yet but no matter as the winner has stepped forward and is now an instant lottery millionaire.
It’s the first unclaimed prize for the Millionaire Raffle since its launch, raffle numbers are allocated automatically with each Euromillions ticket sold and players must match the raffle number with the one announced during the Euromillions draw.
If a winner does not come forward then all unclaimed lottery prizes and the interest they accrue while waiting for the winner are donated entirely to the fund for good causes. Now as much as this is a great idea, we’re sure that this Millionaire Raffle player prefers the £1 million in their bank as opposed to the fund for good causes.
It really is important to check those lottery numbers after every draw, otherwise you could miss out on a fantastic prize, alternatively buy lotto tickets online and you never need to worry about losing a ticket again!
Don’t forget, tomorrow’s Euromillions Lottery draw is the birthday superdraw with a jackpot worth a staggering £85 million! Don’t forget your tickets for that one!
