Massive share on UK Lotto
Last Updated: Wednesday 5th January 2011, 11:09
As an anti-climax to the massive lottery jackpots we have had over the last couple of weeks a massive six players shared last night’s UK Lotto draw, each winning less than £1 million. There has been a big Mega Jackpot and a double rollover for UK players to play for this week, making this big share on the National Lottery a bit of a comedown. Each player collects £772,211, way less than £1 million and not really a life-changing amount of money, but still a good return from a £1 stake.
Merlin was the lottery machine used for last night’s draw, last seen in the midweek double rollover, but set of balls number 6 – also used – hasn’t been seen since Saturday 3rd July.
While the jackpot winners might not have received the big lottery jackpot they were expecting, there was over £14 million paid out, to lots of winners. In addition to the 6 players each collecting £772,211, another 13 players collected over £100,000 by matching five main balls and the bonus.
Wednesday’s National Lottery jackpot will now be an estimated £2.4 million but if you want a big lottery jackpot to get your teeth into then you’ll want to buy lottery tickets for the big Euromillions rollover, which takes place on Friday evening and has a massive £125 million to play for!
Good luck, whichever of the UK lottery draws you decide to take part in, make sure you check back through the week for more lottery news and results on these pages.
