A Tyneside lottery syndicate are having an extra long New Years celebration after scooping a UK Lotto win worth over £10 million on December 30th. The six strong syndicate couldn’t have got the New Year off to a bigger bang and are now celebrating each being £1.7 million richer.
The Syndicate come from Tyneside but have only just realised they are Christmas Lottery winners, their numbers came up on the December 30th draw giving them all an equal share of the £10,257,210 jackpot.
The draw was a rollover draw, which attributed to the high jackpot and the lucky group, a six person syndicate have all worked together or met socially.
The North East of England is one of the luckiest areas in the UK for lottery winners so it comes as no surprise to us to see yet another millionaire in the area. Of the 2,300 millionaires created since the launch of the UK Lotto fifteen years ago, a massive 323 jackpot tickets have come from that area.
No doubt with the rush of Christmas this lottery syndicate didn’t even get time to check their lottery numbers, which would explain why they are only just claiming their prize. It’s a good job they remembered to buy tickets, maybe they are one of the many lottery syndicates who now buy lotto tickets online ensuring they don’t ever miss a draw.
However they play, we at National-Lottery.com would like to congratulate the winners on their good fortune and say Happy Spending!
