A lucky Lotto player has wasted little time in coming forward after winning a sensational £17.1 million on Saturday night. The top prize had previously rolled over for seven draws in a row to create one of the largest jackpots of the year.
Lotto Results for Saturday 23rd June
The numbers drawn on Saturday night were 1, 10, 15, 25, 31 and 47, with Bonus Ball 53. Over 1.4 million players snapped up prizes across the six different prize tiers, including one ticket holder who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to pocket £78,275.
One participant is guaranteed to receive £1 million in every draw thanks to the Lotto Millionaire Raffle, and Saturday’s winning code was BLUE 3310 4223. Go to the Lotto Results page to find a list of the other 20 winning Lotto Raffle codes, worth £20,000 each, plus a full breakdown of all the prizes won.
Jackpot Winner Comes Forward Quickly
All prizes have to be claimed within 180 days of the draw taking place, and the latest winner has got in touch immediately to start the claims process. They just have to meet with officials for a ticket validation appointment, and can then look forward to receiving their eight-figure windfall.
No more information will be released about where the ticket was bought, or whether it belongs to an individual or a syndicate, unless they decide to go public with their news.
The National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor Andy Carter said: "It’s great that this ticket holder has come forward to claim their life-changing prize so quickly. We will now support and help the winner celebrate as they receive their incredible win.
"By buying a ticket for Lotto or any other National Lottery game, every player is helping to raise money for good causes. Around £30 million is raised every week for projects across the UK, both big and small, including funding everything from local community projects to preserving the nation’s heritage.”
Big Jackpot Wins of 2017
The latest win ranks as the third-largest of the year, behind the £21 million banked by Donna Stickley on Saturday 12th May and the £18.1 million claimed by the Banfield family back on Saturday 17th February.
The jackpot will now reset to £1.8 million for the next draw on Wednesday night, while there is also a £21 million top prize up for grabs in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw. You can join an online syndicate to boost your chances of winning or buy a ticket from an authorised retailer. Good luck!
