Lotto Jackpot Won by Single Ticket
Last Updated: Monday 15th October 2012, 13:00
The Lotto jackpot on Saturday 2 June was worth £4,392,003 and we are pleased to report that the whole amount was won by a single ticket. The Lotto results that made this win possible were 16, 18, 20, 25, 29 and 34, and the Bonus Ball number was 15. The Bonus Ball was irrelevant as far as the jackpot-winner was concerned, but it proved very useful to the owners of 14 tickets that matched it along with five main numbers to win a second-tier consolation prize of £96,527 each.
385 tickets matched five main numbers without the Bonus Ball to win £2,193 each, and another 485,646 tickets won either £79 or £10 each by matching four or three main numbers, respectively. We congratulate everyone who won a Lotto prize of any kind on Saturday night, and look forward to the next Lotto game this Wednesday 6 June, where the jackpot will be worth around £2.2 million.
Whilst the Lotto jackpot was cooperative on Saturday, the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday was far less so. No ticket was able to match the five main numbers (02, 04, 14, 26 and 36) as well as both Lucky Star numbers (09 and 10) and so the jackpot rolled over for the tenth draw in a row. That gives midweek EuroMillions players the chance to win an estimated £106 million this Tuesday 5 June.
6 EuroMillions tickets did succeed in matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £340,774 each, and 14 other tickets matched the five main numbers only to win £48,682 each. There were more than 4.5 million prize-winning tickets in total in the main EuroMillions game, and here in the UK one ticket won a player £1 million by matching the Millionaire Raffle number KQZ010341.
All of that paves the way for another exciting week of jackpot-chasing action. Buy your lottery tickets today and as well as having a chance of winning £106 million on Tuesday you could also give yourself a chance of winning £2.2 million on Wednesday! Good luck!
