Lotto Jackpot Rolls Down As Five Players Split £25 Million
Last Updated: Tuesday 24th October 2017, 09:33
The eagerly awaited Lotto draw on Wednesday 18th October created five new multimillionaires, as lucky ticket holders won £5 million each without even matching all six main numbers.
The jackpot needed to be won last night after the £22 million jackpot cap had been activated, and the numbers drawn were 11, 12, 15, 22, 27 and 44, with Bonus Ball 7. Nobody was able to land the top prize by virtue of matching all six main numbers, so the money rolled down to the next tier in which there were winners.
As five participants matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, they all received a share of the enhanced £25 million prize pool. It was also a good night for 1.3 million other Lotto players, who snapped up rewards ranging from a free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £595 for matching five main numbers.
Visit the Lotto Results page for a full breakdown of prizes, along with details of the Lotto Millionaire Raffle. One lucky raffle code is worth £1 million in every Lotto draw, while there are also always 20 codes worth £20,000.
Wednesday’s result marked the first time since 24th May that the jackpot had to be won after reaching its cap. On that occasion, two players scooped £12.7 million after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, as nobody matched all six main numbers.
The jackpot will now reset to an estimated £3.3 million for Saturday’s draw, and you can pick numbers online now or visit an authorised retailer for your chance to win the lot. Good luck!
