Lotto jackpot to expire

Unclaimed prizes on the UK Lotto are thankfully rare, yet this month sees two unclaimed lottery prizes expire if the winning players do not come forward. Now unclaimed prizes for smaller division prizes are more common but one of this month’s unclaimed prizes is a lotto jackpot about to expire.
Before that is a five and the bonus win on the UK Lotto worth £224,606, the winning lottery ticket for the draw was purchased for the lottery draw held on 19th September 2009 and matched five main balls and the bonus ball. That lottery ticket was sold in the Borough of Kirklees and the winner has just until the 18th March to contact the National Lottery about their win.
The second unclaimed prize to expire this month is a jackpot, and not a small one either. This jackpot prize is worth a staggering £3.6 million and we’re not sure how anyone could have missed it. If you live in the Inverness, Nairn area and you play the UK Lotto regularly then you need to start hunting lottery tickets now. The unclaimed lottery ticket was for the lotto draw held on 23rd September 2009 and the winner of the jackpot has until the 22nd March to claim their £3.6 million lottery jackpot.
Of course any unclaimed lottery prizes that stay unclaimed are added to the pot for good causes, plus all the interest they have accrued in the meantime. Great for charity but better in your pocket, especially when you consider what a life-changing amount of cash £3.6 million is!
