Last Updated: Wednesday 23rd September 2020, 14:05
A lucky Lotto player picked up a £6.1 million windfall on Wednesday 18th May after matching all six main numbers. In addition, two more millionaires were created on the night thanks to Lotto Millionaire Raffle giving away double awards of £1 million in every draw in May.
The Lotto numbers were 1, 3, 28, 34, 37 and 46 with Bonus Ball 59 and other prizes received on the night ranged from a Lotto Lucky Dip ticket for matching two main numbers to £26,132 for matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. There is a full Lotto prize breakdown at the Lottery Results section, along with the two £1 million Lotto Millionaire Raffle codes and the 20 second tier combinations worth £20,000.
The National Lottery revealed this week that Romford in Essex was the luckiest place to buy tickets for draws, having produced more winners of prizes worth over £50,000 per head of population than any other postcode area. Cleveland in the north east and Warrington in the north west ranked second and third respectively. Birmingham’s postal area has created the most millionaires since the lottery was launched in 1994, thanks to the vast sprawl of the B postcode across the city and much of the West Midlands.
Whether tonight’s winner hailed from any of those regions may be revealed in the next few days if they come forward to claim their prize and opt to make their news public.
Saturday’s Lotto jackpot will be worth £3.9 million and you can buy Lotto tickets online or from authorised retailers across the UK. Good luck!
