Lottery Winner Receives Hate Mail

Last Updated: Wednesday 12th September 2018, 12:13

Last week we brought you news of a very lucky £4.5 million National Lottery winner from Northern Ireland, Seamus Duffy scooped £4.5 million on the UK Lotto as he was filling in forms for sickness benefit, now after being struck with such good luck the lotto winner has received hate mail from one jealous individual.

The hate mail was sent to his parents’ home and comes after widespread media coverage of Mr Duffy’s winning numbers. The letter calls him and animal for fathering several children by different women the letter is both sinister and menacing. Mr Duffy has six children both by his ex wife and a partner from England.

The letter has shocked Mr Duffy to the core, especially as he had to open it in front of his parents. The lottery winner has six children by two different women, something he is unrepentant about and says he supports and loves them all.

He says he is in despair that there are jealous people out there who would do such a thing but he’s not going to allow the letter to put him off enjoying himself and celebrating his big win.

It’s easy to see why players choose anonymity when the lottery results give them a big win, who knows what sort of people are out there. A point brought home only too clearly by Dolores McNamara – Irelands biggest lottery winner – she scooped £88 million on the Euromillions Lottery and after much publicity received death threats and kidnapping threats on her children.
