Last Updated: Friday 18th June 2010, 12:52
A few weeks ago we brought you news of how the Thunderball Lottery is changing. Well now the lottery is gearing up for the changes as they come into play in just a couple more weeks. The Thunderball Lottery is one of the subsidiary draws run alongside the UK Lotto and it currently offers a jackpot of £250,000. From May 9th all that is set to change as the jackpot doubles and many more changes also come into play.
If you’re a fan of the Thunderball Lottery then you will be keen to hear about all these changes and no doubt you can’t wait for the new Thunderball Lottery to come into play. If you don’t play the Powerball then now might be the time to start, just in time to snag that extra cash!
From Sunday 9th May the Thunderball Lottery is doubling its jackpot to £500,000 but that’s not the only change, there will also be an extra draw every single week on a Friday evening but the numbers are changing too so make a note of that.
From 9th May players will be able to choose five main numbers from 1 to 39 and one Thunderball from 1 to 13. It makes the Thunderball Lottery a little harder to win but that of course comes with a prize twice as big as before.
As a consolation prize, the Powerball Lottery is also adding in a £3 prize for players who match just the Thunderball, increasing the overall chances of a prize in the lottery.
More news when the changes come into play, don’t worry we’ll bring you a little reminder so you can be sure you won’t miss out on buying lottery tickets for the brand new draw.
