On Monday 24th May a Lotto jackpot worth over £850,000 will expire and the winner will lose their chance to claim the prize. The unclaimed lottery jackpot was from a draw back in November last year yet despite several appeals for the winner, no one has come forward. The unclaimed lottery prize is worth £851,513 and if unclaimed by Monday 24th May the prize will go into the fund for good causes, plus any interest it has accrued since the draw back in November.
The winning lottery ticket was sold in the Hastings & Bexhill area for the UK Lotto draw held on 25th November 2009. The jackpot was shared several ways, leaving each winner £850,513 richer, all the shares of the jackpot have been long claimed and are probably being happily spent but this single share still hasn’t been claimed, almost six months after the draw.
If you bought a lottery ticket in this area then it may be time to have a search for those old lottery tickets. It could be you and if you don’t claim by 5pm on Monday, the prize will be lost to the fund for good causes, forever.
In other news, last night’s UK Lotto draw went off without a hitch. The £2.7 million jackpot was shared by two lucky players who matched all six winning numbers with each of them walking away with almost £1.4 million!
The next UK Lotto draw is on Saturday evening and the estimated jackpot for that draw is £4.5 million!
