There were quite a few people celebrating at the weekend as the Lotto results from Saturday’s draw show that five tickets matched the six numbers drawn to share the Lotto jackpot. The top prize on offer to win on Saturday came out at just over £4.8 million but because there were five jackpot winners it meant that each ticket took home £978,272.
However, there will be one lucky ticket holder (or holders if purchased in a syndicate) celebrating as they alone matched five numbers and the Bonus Ball to take home the second tier Lotto prize that was worth £1.4 million.
It is not every day that the Lotto second tier prize winner wins more than the jackpot winners however on Saturday’s draw this was very much the case. To add to these winners there were over 386,000 players that won a prize in the Lotto game on Saturday. There were 331 players that matched five numbers to win £2,812 and then over 367,000 players matched three numbers to win the smallest Lotto prize that is always worth £10.
If you are yet to see the Lotto results from Saturday’s draw then they are 15, 30, 36, 39, 41, 49 and the Bonus Ball was 2. As the jackpot was won it means that Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot goes back to basics therefore it is estimated at £2.2 million – so make sure you have your tickets ready if you fancy matching the six numbers drawn in the Lotto results and scooping the top prize.
