EuroMillions Jackpot Rises to Record £208 Million
Last Updated: Wednesday 4th June 2025, 09:46
Friday’s EuroMillions draw will give UK players the opportunity to become the country’s biggest-ever winner after the jackpot climbed to £208 million.
The top prize has been building since it was last won on 4th April, and it rolled over for a 17th consecutive time on Tuesday night when nobody was able to match all the numbers. Check out a breakdown of all the prizes won on 3rd June.
It has now hit its jackpot cap for only the second time in history. This is the maximum amount that it can reach and is set at €250 million - the jackpot is then converted into pounds sterling based on the exchange rate on the day of the draw.
For Friday’s draw, it is estimated to be worth £208 million, although the final figure could be a bit higher or lower. A single winner from the UK would break the record set by an anonymous player who landed £195.7 million back in July 2022.
The biggest UK winners to go public have been Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester, who pocketed £184.2 million in May 2022. They said the win had given them ‘time to dream’ and they were looking forward to enjoying lots of adventures with friends and family.
What Happens Now?
The jackpot will now stay at its €250 million limit until it gets won or until four more draws have taken place. In the meantime, any funds that would normally boost the top prize higher will instead be added to the category below - for matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star.
In the fifth draw at the cap, the jackpot must be won. If nobody matches all the numbers, the money would roll down and be split between all the ticket holders in the 5 + 1 category. This could potentially reward players with tens of millions of pounds without even matching all the numbers.
If the jackpot continues to prove elusive, this Must Be Won draw will be held on Friday 20th June. There’s plenty of opportunities for it to be won before that date, though, so make sure to grab a ticket while it is still at a record level.
A €130 million Superdraw was scheduled for Friday 6th June, but that will not now go ahead as planned. Instead, you can expect to see a new date arranged for the Superdraw in the very near future!
