Couple Celebrate £100,000 Health Lottery Win

A retired couple from Hertfordshire will have a Christmas to remember after scooping the top prize of £100,000 on the Health Lottery last month.
Roy and Margaret Baker, who have been married for 51 years, started playing the Health Lottery after their son, Jason, suggested they swap their usual lottery spend on the UK Lotto after he scooped two wins worth £250 and £20 apiece.
When he started to play the Health Lottery, Roy changed his usual lottery numbers for a brand new set – 2, 8, 25, 30 and 34 – which he picked at random and has played ever since. Little did he know that those numbers would be the key to his Christmas fortune!
Although they have already bought their family’s Christmas presents this year, the couple do plan to spend some of their winnings on some extra special treats this festive season. They also intend to refurbish their three bed council house and look forward to not having to worry about the heating bills this winter, after spending previous winters with the curtains pulled and heating turned low to save money.
The couple plan to put the rest of their winnings into a high interest account to ensure their future remains secure.
Health Lottery Chief Executive, Dominic Mansour, couldn’t be happier for the couple. “We are over the moon for Roy and wish him all the best.”
In other lottery news, there is a UK Lotto jackpot worth an estimated £4.6 million to play for tomorrow night after five players shared the £7.5 million jackpot on Wednesday. Saturday’s Health Lottery also has a top prize of £100,000. However, if you can’t wait until then for your lottery fix, tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is a rollover worth €24 / £20 million.
