All eyes are on the EuroMillions today as the biggest unclaimed UK lottery prize is set to expire tonight as the lucky ticket holder has not yet come forward to claim this EuroMillions jackpot. The prize waiting to be claimed is worth £63.8 million and was won six months ago on the 8th June 2012. This winner has had quite a few months to claim this UK lottery prize and now this jackpot expires tonight at 11pm so we will have to wait and see if there is a last minute claim for this £63.8 million jackpot or not.
This ticket was purchased in the Stevenage and Hitchin area and matched the results from this EuroMillions draw (no.492) which were 5, 11, 22, 34, 40 and the Lucky Stars are 9 and 11.
Unclaimed prizes happen for all sorts of reasons and the most likely is that the ticket holder has in fact lost the ticket. All that is known about this UK jackpot winner is where they purchased the ticket however whether it was part of a syndicate of a single ticket holder remains to be seen.
As this EuroMillions winner hasn’t come forward after six months it is unlikely that they will come forward before 11pm tonight however you never know. As this unclaimed prize is the biggest one in the UK ever it has received a lot of media attention so fingers crossed this winning ticket holder comes forward before the deadline tonight. Like all unclaimed prizes if this one expires tonight then it will be added to the pot that goes to Good Causes throughout the UK such as arts, youth and culture.
