Biggest EuroMillions Jackpot of 2025 Grows After Superdraw Rollover

Last Updated: Monday 10th March 2025, 11:07

The EuroMillions jackpot was increased to its biggest amount of the year for Friday’s Superdraw, and a rollover on the night has pushed it up to £120 million.

Despite the best efforts of millions of players in the UK and the rest of Europe, there were no tickets that matched the numbers 6, 10, 27, 32 and 48, plus Lucky Stars 3 and 8, so the £109.8 million jackpot was carried over to Tuesday evening. Check out all the draw details.

Ticket sales over the weekend and the early part of the week will take the top prize even higher, and it could continue to grow for a little while yet.

How High Could Jackpot Go?

When it comes to the rules of the game, jackpots are always set in euros as that is the currency of most of the participating nations. Friday’s Superdraw, for example, was worth €130 million and then converted into pounds on the day of the draw in case there was a UK winner.

The maximum jackpot for EuroMillions is €250 million (approximately £210 million), so there could potentially be a few more rollovers before it reaches its limit.

Big jackpots attract more players, though, so it is also likely that the upward curve will accelerate as it approaches its cap. Once it hits €250 million, the jackpot can stay at that value for four draws before it then has to be won. Funds that would go on top are instead allocated to the next category down, for matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star.

Any UK winner of the current jackpot would rank among the luckiest ticket holders in the game’s history, along with the likes of Joe and Jess Thwaite, Colin and Chris Weir, Adrian and Gillian Bayford, and several players who have stayed anonymous after landing huge prizes. See the Winners page for a list of the top ten.

EuroMillions Strategies

To win the EuroMillions jackpot, you need to match five numbers from 1 to 50, plus two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12. It all comes down to luck, but there are still a few ways you can pick your numbers.

If you don’t have a favorite line or you just want a change from Lucky Dips, one approach could be to turn to statistics. Discover the most frequent or least common numbers, overdue numbers, or common pairs and triplets.

Another strategy might be to set up or join a syndicate. By teaming up with other players, you can more easily purchase multiple tickets and split the cost between you. Playing more lines is the only way to boost your chances of winning, and forming a syndicate with friends or family can be a fun way to take part too.

Regardless of how you decide to play, you need to buy a ticket to have any chance. Choose your numbers online now, or visit an authorised retailer, then keep an eye out for the latest results every Tuesday and Friday night.
