If rumours are to be believed then a lotto syndicate from Kidderminster has scooped a £4.8 million UK Lotto prize. The winners have opted for no publicity, hence the hush, hush nature of the news. However rumour has it that they are a pub syndicate made up of four members, and that makes a tidy £1.2 million each!
The pub is believed to be in the Comberton area of Kidderminster and the four lottery syndicate members are rumoured to have been celebrating in the St John’s Social club in Crowther Street last weekend.
The UK Lotto jackpot, of £4.8 million was won on the UK Lotto Saturday draw held on Saturday 20th February and lottery syndicate scooped the entire jackpot on a single lotto ticket. The group have opted for no publicity and to remain anonymous but in such a small town, rumours are understandably spreading fast. Local shopkeepers have been discussing who the winners might be and everyone is curious, these lotto winners literally are the talk of the town.
The four are certainly known locally even if the press don’t know who they are. All that Camelot could confirm is that the syndicate had not opted for publicity and the winning lotto ticket was sold in that are.
