£40 Million Euromillions Winner From UK

Friday night boasted a jackpot of over £40 million and across Europe the excitement was mounting as details of the Euromillions results were eagerly awaited. The numbers for the Euromillions triple rollover were 2, 10, 22, 27, 28 with the Lucky Stars 6 and 8 and as players checked their tickets in the hope that these were the numbers on their ticket, it was announced that the £40 million Euromillions winner was from the UK!
Further details about the winner are yet to be released but news today is that someone has come forward to make a claim! According to a number of newspaper sources the claimant came forward on Saturday afternoon, less than 24 hours after the Euromillions winning numbers were announced – us Brits don’t hang about – however the National Lottery operators stated that no money will be transferred until ticket verification has been completed and of course, the banks re-open today. It’s at this point the lucky ticket holder will need to make a decision as to whether they wish to remain anonymous or go public with their win.
The £40 million jackpot puts the new winners into seventh place in the ranks of “biggest jackpot winners in the UK” and will make then as wealthy as Australian singer Kylie Minogue and just £8 million shy of what Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was worth in the 2011/2012 Rich List.
The next jackpot for the Euromillions is now estimated at £12 million, not quite as impressive, but even if you won this amount you would be on a par with the likes of Cheryl Cole and Leona Lewis!
