UK rollovers dominate the news

If you are a UK lottery player, you may have spent this weekend disappointed, as lottery winners were thin on the ground. Lottery rollovers dominate the lottery news pages as both the Euromillions and UK Lotto jackpots roll over. On Friday night, the Euromillions rolled over, creating a £51 million jackpot for next week and then the UK Lotto draw rolled over too.

Friday’s Euromillions jackpot was worth over £37 million, yet despite high ticket sales both in the UK and across Europe, no one scooped the jackpot. There was still lots paid out in prize money; over £5 million in the UK, but with the jackpot rolling over, next Friday’s jackpot will be worth an estimated £51 million.

By Saturday evening it seemed the rollovers were contagious as the UK Lotto draw didn’t find a jackpot winner either. Saturday’s Lotto jackpot was worth £4.7 million but with no jackpot winner found, it means Wednesday night is a rollover, with a jackpot worth an estimated £7.5 million.

If you haven’t yet checked the weekend lottery results then it’s time to do so now, or you may miss out on a big prize. However, more importantly it’s time to make sure you buy lottery tickets for the week ahead.
