UK Player Claims £111 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

Friday’s £111 million EuroMillions jackpot has been claimed by a UK ticket holder. The winner has come forward already to make contact with National Lottery officials after matching all the numbers in the eagerly-awaited Superdraw.
The last two Superdraws - special events when the jackpot is increased to €130 million - have rolled over and created record-breaking payouts of €200 million and above. Friday’s Super Jackpot, however, was snapped up at the first attempt.
It was a single player who matched all the numbers - 7, 20, 36, 40 and 46, plus Lucky Stars 2 and 4. Like all National Lottery winners, they had 180 days to stake a claim, but they did not delay and have already got in touch.
“We will now look to support the ticket holder through the process and help them to start to enjoy their life-changing win," said Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor.
The claim will now have to be validated before the winner can be paid out. If they decide to remain anonymous, no more information will be revealed about who holds the all-important ticket, where it was sold, or even whether it belongs to an individual or a syndicate.
It is the ninth-largest prize ever to be given away in UK lottery history. The top ten have all come in EuroMillions, with the record arriving in October 2019 when a jackpot of £170 million was claimed anonymously.
Whether you’re a regular EuroMillions player or just take part in the big events such as Superdraws, you can use the Results Checker to find out if your ticket is a winner. Remember to check your Millionaire Maker code too to make sure you don’t miss a big win.
The jackpot for the next draw will be worth £14 million, while another Superdraw is sure to take place before too long. You can choose your EuroMillions numbers online now and perhaps you will follow in the footsteps of Friday’s winner.
