UK EuroMillions Winner is a Single Mum from Bradford

A single mum from Bradford, who had to give up work to care for her autistic children, has been revealed as the latest UK EuroMillions winner. Beverley Doran, who lives in Shipley, was a receptionist until two years ago, but has been living on benefits ever since, after two of her children were diagnosed with the disability.
Beverley, 37, revealed to reporters that she discovered she was £14.5 million richer on Saturday morning, following the winning draw on Friday 17th February. She recalled that she was checking her phone in bed when she read an email from the National Lottery, telling her to check her online account. "I could see the jackpot amount but couldn’t work out what I’d won,” she admitted, “then I slowly realised it was one UK winner and that that person was me. It was taking a very long time to sink in.”
She woke her eldest son to tell him the news, before attempting to contact her mum, who didn’t answer at first as she was in the shower.
The celebrations began right away, with Beverley confirming she had already indulged in a shopping spree and checked into a luxury hotel since learning about the win. She also confessed to having begun searching for houses online, but said she would remain within driving distance of her children’s current schools.
Also celebrating a lottery success from the weekend were best friends Lorraine Smith and Paula Barraclough, who refer to themselves as Polly and Lolly. The Tyne and Wear pair pocketed £15.3 million on Lotto on Saturday and told a press conference they would be jetting off to Las Vegas with the proceeds.
