Kerry, who has two young sons, didn’t find the time to check her numbers until the boys’ half term holiday when she took some time off work. Unaware of its value, Kerry and her children had walked past the winning ticket dozens of times as it had been stuck to her fridge for weeks!
When she finally did check her numbers, Kerry wanted to be sure she’d won. She looked on her phone, on her tablet, on YouTube and even got her dad to check before she finally believed it was true. "I thought I must be going mad” she said, “I couldn’t believe it.”
After living on a budget for years, pharmacy worker Kerry revealed she didn’t have any extravagant plans for her big win but hoped to return to university to study midwifery or health care. She added that the big win would ensure a financially secure future for her and her family.
Kerry was one of three players who matched all six main numbers drawn on Saturday 10th May to receive an equal share of the £3.5 million top prize. The winning numbers from the night were 3, 5, 8, 10, 16 and 17 with the Bonus Ball of 46.
The next UK Lotto draw takes place tonight and is offering players an estimated jackpot of £2.1 million. Follow the Lottery Tickets tab to find out how you can participate in tonight’s big game.
