Last Updated: Sunday 10th January 2016, 09:16
Saturday 9th January’s record £66 million Lotto jackpot was shared by two players who both collected £33 million for matching all six main numbers. The two lucky ticket holders now share the distinction of banking the largest ever amount on a single ticket in the game’s history. In addition, five players picked up £64,426 for matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball and a participant is £1 million better off thanks to Lotto Millionaire Raffle.
The Lotto results were 26, 27, 46, 47, 52 and 58 with Bonus Ball 48 and more than 4.5 million players picked up prizes on the night. The other awards ranged from a free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £1,309 for the 259 ticket holders who matched five main balls. There is a full prize breakdown, along with the winning Lotto Millionaire Raffle codes, at the Lottery Results section.
The Lotto jackpot will reset to £2.4 million for Wednesday’s draw, still more than enough to change your life forever. There will also be another £1 million paid out by Lotto Millionaire Raffle, into which players are automatically entered when they play a line in the main Lotto game.
Lotto tickets are on sale now online and from authorised retailers across the UK. You can get hold of them up until 7:30pm on the day of the draw. Good luck!
