One EuroMillions Player Scoops Second Tier Prize

Last Updated: Tuesday 21st February 2012, 12:52

Last night the Tuesday EuroMillions draw took place and players were hoping to repeat the success of the Portuguese ticket holder in Friday’s draw and take home the jackpot in last night's draw that came out at £12.8 million. No one managed to match the numbers to win the jackpot but one EuroMillions player did scoop the second tier prize which was worth £720,278. Further to that over 1.5 million players won one of the other EuroMillions prizes in this Tuesday night draw.

The results from last night were 11, 25, 41, 45, 50 and the Lucky Stars were 2 and 7. Number 50 made an appearance in the EuroMillions results and although it might be the highest number in this pan-European lottery game it is actually the most often drawn out number having been select a staggering 64 times.

Only one ticket holder won the second tier prize last night and this doesn’t happen very often in the EuroMillions. Normally quite a few players manage to match the five plus one number combination and split the second tier winnings however this player managed to win almost £1 million last night thanks to being the only winner in the second tier.

As no one won the jackpot it rollovers to Friday night’s draw and it is estimated at £22 million. Winning this top prize couldn’t come at a better time as it’s nearly Christmas – so if you fancy taking home a prize or more importantly the jackpot have your tickets ready for Friday and be sure to check the EuroMillions results shortly after the draw takes place.
