National Lottery operator Allwyn has launched a new annuity-style scratchcard based on the draw game Set For Life. It gives you the chance to win a top prize of £5,000 a month for five years.
The instant-win game, called ‘Set For 5 Years’, costs £2 and is really easy to play. There are lots of prizes you can win, and your overall odds are 1 in 3.63.
There are four top prizes in the initial print run of 17,719,800 scratchcards, so the chances of winning £5,000 a month for five years are 1 in 4,429,950.
If you are lucky enough to land one of the top prizes, the total payout works out at £300,000. Allwyn bosses are hoping that it will prove to be a hit with both players and retailers.
“We’re really excited to be launching this new Set For Life-style Scratchcard, as it gives retail players even more opportunities to win on repeat from a National Lottery game,” said James Dunbar, Allwyn’s head of retail channels.
“It’s designed with the same look and feel as the Set For Life draw game, which offers retailers lots of cross-selling opportunities. For example, they can suggest the new scratchcard as an additional purchase to customers buying a Set For Life ticket.”
Five retailers will also be lucky enough to win their own annuity-style prize, worth £100 every month for a year. All retailers need to do to have a chance of winning is to upload a picture of the scratchcard in their dispenser to the National Lottery Retailer Hub.
The Set For Life draw game is played every Monday and Thursday and offers a jackpot of £10,000 every month for 30 years. There is also a second prize of £10,000 a month for one year. To play, you have to select five numbers from 1 to 47 and one Life Ball between 1 and 10.
The National Lottery also sells a wide range of scratchcards. The top prize in some cases can be worth millions of pounds. Keep an eye on the list of current games because it is regularly updated, and you can also see how many scratchcard prizes are still available.
