National Lottery Awards entries closes

We’ve been following the progress of the National Lottery Awards 2011, in a bid to find the nation’s favourite lottery good cause. If you were looking to enter your project or good cause then you have now left it too late to enter. In an announcement this week the National Lottery announced that the deadline for entries has passed and all projects will be notified of their progress later in the year.

If you did miss out, don’t worry too much as the National Lottery Awards are a yearly event and you will get another chance to join in for 2012.

The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite lottery-funded project. The National Lottery Awards highlight how much is raised every year by the sale of lottery tickets, changing the UK for the better, and giving players the opportunity to have their say on what their favourite good causes are.

Lottery players raise £28 million every singe week for lottery projects across the UK, and this means that every time you buy lottery tickets you are giving to some of the most worthy causes and making your nation grow. Since the National Lottery began in 1994 over 350,000 lottery grants have been awarded across all of the good causes category and that has all been made possible by the lottery tickets that you buy!

News for players of course is that tonight there’s a £4.4 million Lotto jackpot up for grabs, it’s time to buy lottery tickets!
