In a little over thirty days, a life-changing lottery jackpot worth over £1.5 million is due to expire if the winner does not come forward. There are many unclaimed prizes up for grabs from the National Lottery but this is the biggest of the unclaimed lottery prizes in the UK right now and could mean a major life-change for one lucky lottery player or the most expensive lost scrap of paper ever.
This isn’t the first appeal to be put out for this lottery ticket. Several times the National Lottery have advertised in the local and national press for the winner to come forward.
The winning lottery ticket was sold in the Borough of South Tyneside for the UK Lotto draw held on 27th March 2010. If you live in that area, or travel through and may have bought lottery tickets, think long and hard about where you bought your lottery tickets for that draw, or where they may be now.
Because the winner hasn’t come forward and the lottery ticket matched all six winning numbers in the draw. The jackpot was shared and this missing lottery ticket is worth £1,524,177 but time is running out for the winner.
If this unclaimed lottery prize is not claimed by 23rd September 2010, just over a month from now, then the entire prize, plus any interest it has accrued will go back into the fund for good causes, to be awarded to charitable organisations around the UK.
