Millionaire Raffle Saves the Day

Although the Millionaire Raffle winner was the only EuroMillions player in the UK to win a seven figure fortune, there were plenty of players who picked up smaller prizes. Four players matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to each win a second-tier prize worth £242,189 and another eight players matched five main numbers with no Lucky Stars to win a third-tier prize of £40,365 each. Over 2.4 million other prizes of £2,306 or less were landed by winners at the remaining ten prize levels.
The next opportunity for lottery players in the UK to land a prize of £1 million or more comes along this evening, when the Lotto game will offer a rollover jackpot which is estimated to be worth around £6.6 million. That figure is obviously a great deal smaller than the EuroMillions jackpots of late, but when you bear in mind the fact that a Lotto jackpot is a lot less difficult to win we think you’ll agree it’s a very fair reward for anyone who succeeds in matching all six main numbers.
After the Lotto draw tonight the next big game in the UK is of course EuroMillions on Friday 02 September, where the jackpot (which has now rolled over nine times in a row) will be worth around £100 million. Our advice is to consider playing both games so that you have three chances (including the Millionaire Raffle) of changing your life forever.
