Last Updated: Friday 16th January 2015, 09:18
Wednesday’s jackpot was won by a man from Dublin, who purchased his winning €4 Quick Pick ticket from Supervalu in the Rosemount Shopping Centre, Rathfarnham. This store is no stranger to lottery wins, with this being the fourth jackpot winning ticket sold there since 1991.
The winner, who has opted to remain anonymous, says he has no specific plans yet for his newfound fortune, but is looking forward to enjoying a good Christmas!
This is the second Irish Lottery jackpot to be won and claimed within a week, following the €5.5 million jackpot won by the couple from County Clare on Saturday.
If reading about these lucky winners has made you start dreaming of a yuletide jackpot, then the good news is that there are some fantastic jackpots to play for this weekend! The Irish Lottery has a brand new jackpot worth €2 million to play for, while the UK Lotto is a rollover worth an estimated €6.2 million. Both draws take place on Saturday and tickets can be purchased online by visiting the Lottery Tickets page.
If you can’t wait until then however, tonight’s EuroMillions has a brand new jackpot worth €15 / £12 million to play for after the midweek double rollover was won by a single ticket holder from the UK. This prize has yet to be claimed, so if you have not yet checked your ticket from Tuesday visit the EuroMillions Results page to find the winning numbers.
Good luck!
