Lotto Jackpot Won As EuroMillions Rolls Over To Hit £141 Million

The largest Lotto prize of the year was given away on Saturday night as a single player scooped £18.1 million, but the EuroMillions jackpot rolled over for the 14th time in a row on Friday night and is now set to pass the £140 million mark for the next draw.

The EuroMillions numbers drawn on Friday were 10, 12, 23, 32 and 50, with Lucky Stars 4 and 10. Prizes ranged from £2.50 for matching two main numbers to £224,264 for matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star, and there were 768,822 UK winners on the night, along with millions of others from across Europe.
Two players also picked up £1 million each after matching the winning Millionaire Maker codes of HJSX 20948 and ZJXS 90737, but the jackpot proved to be elusive and is expected to climb to £141 million for Tuesday’s draw.
The EuroMillions jackpot has still not been won in 2018, having been growing since an Irish syndicate snagged €38.9 million (£34.5 million) on Friday 29th December. The jackpot is now also larger than the £119.8 million prize picked up by a Swiss participant on Tuesday 19th December, and if there is a single winner on Tuesday they will rank as the ninth biggest winner in the game’s history.

The biggest National Lottery prize to have been won this year belongs to the player who bagged £18.1 million in Saturday night’s Lotto draw after matching the numbers 5, 8, 9, 10, 38 and 53. The Lotto jackpot had previously been rising steadily since two players split £17.2 million on Saturday 20th January, and a bigger prize had not been given away since one ticket holder pocketed £24.5 million on Wednesday 27th December just by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball.
