Lottery Awards Final 2009

Last Updated: Friday 25th September 2020, 15:14

Tomorrow evening you will be able to see the Lottery Awards final live in BBC1 where several community based projects go head to head to see who will win the lottery grant they need. Unlike many lottery good causes, the Lottery Awards are voted for by you, the lottery player and have given you the chance to vote for the community project you think is most deserving. We'd like to tell you all about it and wish all the participants good luck in tomorrows finals!

Many projects for good causes are up for the awards, ranging from Youth projects to public gardens and vegetable patches and tomorrow night on the lotto show, each of them goes head to head to show the nation just how deserving they are of lottery cash.

We brought you news of several UK youth projects earlier this week who will be heading to London tomorrow to show their stuff in the Lottery Awards final. Another project to take part has come a little further to be there, the Derry Playtrail is a Greenfingers project and they are vying for the title, Best Environmental Project. They are excited to be heading to the awards and are hoping, along with all the others to come away with the prize.

You can watch the National Lottery awards, live on BBC1 tomorrow evening, and although voting for the 2009 awards has now closed, you can still see how your votes have made the difference and see the award winners receiving thousands of pounds of lottery money all paid for by your lottery tickets.

Tune in and see the winners, it’s bound to be an emotional and exciting evening.
