Get Set For EuroMillions Superdraw on Friday 29th April
Last Updated: Tuesday 5th April 2022, 10:46
A EuroMillions Superdraw has been scheduled for Friday 29th April, setting up the joint-biggest jackpot of the year so far.
What Will The Jackpot Be?
Known as a Super Jackpot event for good reason, the draw will offer a top prize worth €130 million (approximately £109 million). This is a guaranteed amount, so the jackpot will be increased to that figure regardless of how much needs to be added to top it up.
This extra money comes from the EuroMillions Reserve Fund, which is in place so that these exciting promotions can happen every few months. This is already the second Superdraw of 2022, while there was also a special European Millionaire Maker back in January.
Can The Jackpot Roll?
The jackpot can roll over just like in a normal EuroMillions draw. If there are no tickets that match all the winning numbers on 29th April, the entire €130 million will be carried forward to the following draw.
Add on the money raised from ticket sales for that next draw and the jackpot will probably exceed €140 million (£120 million). It is now possible for the jackpot to grow all the way up to €230 million (around £194 million).
Do UK Players Ever Win Superdraw Jackpots?
UK players have enjoyed a lot of success in EuroMillons Superdraws. In fact, the most recent Superdraw in February was won on the night by a ticket holder from the UK.
The lucky winner matched all the numbers to pocket a jackpot worth £109 million. They contacted the National Lottery a few days later to kick off the claims process and later received a nine-figure payday after the validation process was completed.
No more information was ever released about the player - who became the UK’s tenth-biggest winner in history - and all winners have the right to remain anonymous if they wish to do so.
Another UK player won a Superdraw jackpot worth £111 million last June, while there have been other winners in previous years.
If you want to become the next Superdraw winner, you’ll need to match all seven numbers on the night of 29th April. Whether you have a favourite line that you always play, base your selections on statistics or prefer a Lucky Dip, you need to take part to have a chance of winning.
