Euromillions Ticket Prices set to Rise
Last Updated: Thursday 7th July 2011, 16:11
Since the launch, Euromillions tickets have cost €2 in Europe and £1.50 in the UK but this is set to change from November as Euromillions tickets rise by a third to £2.
It’s not all bad news though as some of the 50p increase will go into a new prize fund that is guaranteed to make one UK millionaire every single week from lottery tickets. The idea is that Camelot will use any spare cash generated to fund ‘Super Raffles’ with prizes of up to £20 million. The launch of the new ticket prices and new games is to be backed by a new TV advertising campaign.
The new look Euromillions will increase players excitement by giving Euromillions ticket holders two chances to win each week. Once on the main draw and again with the millionaire raffle, each player will receive a raffle entry with their tickets and the winner of this will be announced at the same time as the main Euromillions draw.
The changes come into effect from November 13th 2009 so look out for the new ad campaign coming to your television set really soon.
