EuroMillions Reaches Jackpot Cap of €190 Million

Last Updated: Thursday 22nd November 2018, 14:14

EuroMillions has peaked at its jackpot cap of €190 million (approximately £150 million) after no one managed to match all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars in last night’s draw.

Although the top prize remained untouched on Tuesday 21st October, there were millions of winners of amounts ranging from £2.80, which was claimed by 2,518,160 ticket holders who matched two main numbers, up to the £241,508 bagged by eight lucky players who matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star. Numbers drawn were 20, 21, 27, 33, 40 with Lucky Stars 3 and 10. There is a full prize breakdown at the Lottery Results page that includes the winning Millionaire Raffle code.

The EuroMillions top prize is allowed to grow to €190 million, which it will hit on Friday night, with any funds that would have pushed it over that amount being shared by the next winning prize tier below jackpot level. This would most likely make a number of players millionaires even if there isn’t a jackpot winner! EuroMillions can only roll once at the jackpot cap, meaning that by this time next week the whole lot will have been won!

If Friday’s draw sees a rollover then, once again, the excess funds will be distributed amongst the next winning prize tier on Tuesday, creating even more multi-millionaires who will also share the whole €190 million if no one wins the jackpot.

With the prospect of a number of millionaires being created in addition to anyone scooping the top prize, excitement amongst lottery fans has built to a crescendo with ticket holders dreaming of that fateful moment that an email drops into their inbox on Saturday morning asking them to check their EuroMillions account.

Anyone winning the lot would have a world of possibilities when it comes to spending their newfound fortune - £150 million could buy you a private island and your own jet and still plenty of cash to employ your own personal cocktail waiter. This dream could well become reality for you on Friday night!

EuroMillions tickets are available online and from authorised retailers, whose shops are sure to be bustling with excited lottery fans in the run up to Friday.
