EuroMillions Player Comes Forward to Claim £1 Million Win

Vera Webber, from South Ockendon, was one of the 25 ticket holders who won £1 million on New Year’s Eve and came forward earlier this week to claim her win. Webber, 69, found out that she had matched one of the 25 winning raffle codes on New Year’s Day but initially thought she had won £20,000 in the Lotto Raffle. Webber only realised that she had one £1 million when her daughter Julie checked the winning ticket.
Speaking to officials about her win, Webber said: “It is amazing. Ever since Julie told me how much I’d really won it has been a series of celebrations and good old fashioned knees up with my family.”
Webber has no immediate plans to move house or start buying cars but does plan to take her family on holiday to Disneyland and also wants to take a trip to Graceland to visit the home of her idol, Elvis Presley.
Two ticket holders have yet to come forward and claim their £1 million win from the New Year’s Eve special Millionaire Raffle draw and we strongly urge players to check their EuroMillions tickets carefully from the draw on Tuesday 31st December 2013 to see if they are one of the missing £1 million winners.
