With £40 million in your pocket, there really would be no end to the possibilities. So instead of looking for a nice house, how about buying a nice island with your Euromillions win? Imagine, all the peace and quiet, and no fears of riots; unless you wanted to organise your own of course. So we’ve been in touch with the estate agents, and while they’re hardly tropical, we’ve looked at the best islands for sale around the British Isles.
If you fancy retiring to Wales after your Euromillions results come in, how about Sully Island? The cheapest of our islands, Sully Island, near Cardiff is up for sale for £95,000. It seems cheap for an entire Island, but as it’s National Trust land you cannot build, so you would be looking for a house on the mainland too.
If you fancy something a little more private and with better living accommodation, the Scotland may seem appealing after your Euromillions Lottery win. Aisla Craig weighs in a little more expensive at £2.75 but it does have its own lighthouse, and wildlife. The island site in the Firth of Clyde and is well know and recognisable, so do you fancy making this peaceful haven your home?
If you want things a little more lively, then an ‘island’ on New Quay beach in Cornwall might be more up your street. The final of our properties is on a rock on New Quay beach, but as the last residents are selling the £1.25 million home because of raucous summer parties on the beach, you will want to be prepared to spend your nights partying if you buy this property.
With £40 million burning a hole in your pocket, any one of these islands would be just perfect for you, and leave plenty of change too!
