Biggest Lotto Jackpot of the Year on Offer Tonight!
Last Updated: Wednesday 21st October 2015, 10:58
The Lotto jackpot for Wednesday 21st October will be the largest of the year, hitting £14.4 million as a result of three rollovers. The previous record for 2015 was £14.1 million for the draw on Wednesday 28th January. As it was a quadruple rollover and no one matched all six main numbers, the total rolled down and was shared amongst the eight players who matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball, each banking £1.8 million. The rollover cap has been scrapped as part of a number of changes to Lotto and jackpots can now roll to £50 million.
There is yet to be a jackpot winner under the new 59-ball Lotto matrix, which was introduced on Saturday 10th October, although 27 ticket holders have already become millionaires thanks to the new Lotto Millionaire Raffle. The supplementary game, into which players are automatically entered when they buy a line for the main Lotto draw, distributes 20 prizes of £20,000 every time it is played, as well as one award of £1 million. The launch night saw 25 £1 million prizes on offer to celebrate the new game’s arrival.
With such a large amount of money on offer tonight, it might be a good time to think about joining a syndicate, where multiple players group together to buy tickets and share the winnings. You can organise these syndicates with workmates or family members, or simply join a syndicate that has already been set up online. Lotto tickets for tonight’s £14.4 million draw are on sale now online and from authorised retailers across the country.
