Sue Stebbing was looking forward to buying her Christmas goodies in the Asda store she works at last week, this week her and her husband are celebrating a £5 million lottery win. On Sunday morning we brought you the lottery news that one winner had scooped the £5.6 million jackpot and now we can bring you the winner’s story. Mrs Stebbing earns £12,000 a year working at Asda, but now she’ll be able to splash out on some luxuries.
In fact, the lucky lady and her husband have already booked their Christmas holiday, a very modest £1,200 winter holiday to Tenerife, but she says the money won’t change her. In fact, the lottery winner bought the shirt her husband was wearing at the press conference, from the Asda range, even using her 10% discount card to make the purchase. Mrs Stebbing says she’ll continue using Asda after her lottery win and even intends on going back to work, despite the lottery results on Saturday securing her the jackpot.
In fact, Mrs Stebbing worries that she’ll get bored stuck at home, although she is taking twelve months off to treat herself to a rest after the lottery win, and why not.
So far the intention is to have a normal family Christmas in the Stebbing household, with maybe a few more presents than normal. The couple also intend on paying off their mortgage and possibly treating themselves to a few luxuries.
The next UK Lotto draw is tomorrow evening, and the jackpot is £2.4 million. If you’d like the chance to become a lotto millionaire in time for Christmas, then buy lottery tickets now for the draw!
