Another Spanish EuroMillions Win

Last Updated: Wednesday 14th May 2014, 13:27

A single EuroMillions entry that had been purchased by a player in Spain matched all seven numbers drawn on Friday to win a triple rollover jackpot worth £35,072,863. Spain was already the luckiest country in the world as far as 2014 EuroMillions jackpot wins were concerned, so its fourth success at the end of last week strengthened its position further. Lottery players in other nations will now be even keener to try and bag a jackpot, and the £80 million Superdraw game this Friday gives them the perfect chance to win big.

The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday 28 February were 12, 32, 38, 43 and 44, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 07. Two tickets which had been bought outside the UK matched all of the numbers but one Lucky Star to win €797,418 each, whilst six tickets – one of which had been bought in the UK – won £61,031 each by matching five main numbers only. The total number of prizes won in the Friday EuroMillions game was 2,457,351, and the winning number BXP474879 made one player £1 million richer in the Millionaire Raffle game.

Four tickets matched all six main numbers drawn in the UK Lotto game at the weekend. The Lotto results for Saturday 1 March were 04, 09, 10, 13, 29 and 40, and the Bonus Ball was 45. The jackpot had a final value of £4,358,812, so each of the winning tickets is now worth £1,089,703. There were six tickets that won a second tier prize of £49,724 each by matching five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball, and more than 376,000 tickets won smaller prizes. Because Saturday’s Lotto jackpot had rolled over in the previous draw, the Lotto Raffle game awarded 100 prizes of £20,000 each.

The Health Lottery game provided lottery players with their final chance to win big on Saturday night, but no player managed to match all five main numbers, which were 13, 15, 17, 38 and 39. There were more than 72,000 consolation prizes landed, with the biggest of those worth £10,000 to any ticket matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball 29.

Although lottery fans will obviously want to try and win the £12 million jackpot in the EuroMillions game on Tuesday, or the £2.2 million jackpot in the Lotto game on Wednesday, it is the £80million EuroMillions Superdraw on Friday that will deservedly get the most attention.
