It’s almost time for the Annual National Lottery Awards 2010, a star-studded party broadcast live on BBC1 this Saturday night. For months lottery players have been voting for their favourite charities and now the winners and lottery hero's will be announced in the live show, as part of the live Saturday Lotto show hosted by John Barrowman. It's a way of thanking the unsung hero's who do so much work for lottery good causes and you can be part of it.
The event will take place in London’s Roundhouse and will reveal the winners, chosen by the lottery playing public for each of the seven categories. Each of the 21 finalists will have their chance to show off their projects during the show so you don’t miss out on a single thing and all projects get their moment in the limelight.
Even if you didn’t vote, tuning in this Saturday may be more exciting than checking your lottery results with us as the live event will include a host of celebrity presenters. Look out for well-known characters such as Kelly Brook, Air Khan and performances from bands such as McFly. The Big Show will be a real treat for the projects and players watching at home and shows off what the lottery does to the best effect.
If you haven’t yet checked last night’s National Lottery results then one winner walked away with the £2.4 million jackpot. You can buy your lottery tickets for Saturday’s Lotto right now and then watch the Big Show to see the results, live.
Good luck to all the charity projects taking part in the night, good causes are what the National Lottery is all about!
