2010 saw record Lotto millionaires

Of course that isn’t the only reason, 2010 was also a year for unprecedented lottery rollovers, something that will always ensure extra lottery tickets were sold. The figures are also collated from both National Lottery and Euromillions sales records and of course as we know, the Euromillions jackpot record was smashed several times in 2010.
It also looks as though 2011 is already getting off to a flying start too with a spate of National Lottery rollovers and now a Euromillions rollover to look forward too. Saturday’s Lotto rollover has not been won and that means that Wednesday night there is a jackpot of over £10 million to look forward to, add that to Friday’s estimated £24 million Euromillions jackpot and it’s easy to see why lottery sales and millionaires are soaring!
However, not to put a dampener on things, it’s also worth remembering that there were also 83 unclaimed prizes last year; that’s prizes of a substantial amount that were never paid out the ticketholder. So keep those lottery tickets safe, or buy them online to ensure they aren’t lost!
